COLVILLE, Wash. – The Colville School District has joined with Columbia Virtual Academy (CVA) for home-based curriculum programs. Mark Selle, co-founder of Columbia Virtual Academy, and Superintendent of the Valley School District stated, ” With great excitement for our future, we welcome the Colville School District into the Columbia Virtual Academy.”
Columbia Virtual Academy offers individualized, online education to any Washington student at no cost to the student’s family. CVA is a partnership of school districts based on a program established to connect home-schoolers with public school resources.
Effective immediately, all new high school students enrolling into CVA will be assigned to the Colville School District. All new high school families enrolling in the Columbia Virtual Academy will have access to a $400 student fund for supporting their student’s extra curricular activities.
“We look forward to partnering with Colville School District. We have greatly enhanced our cooperative ability to provide our hallmarks of personalization and flexibility to students and their families across the state!” Selle said.

“I wish we had this when my kids were growing up. It’s not a way of skipping school. Rather, it supports the choice of very committed parents. Sometimes the easy solution just doesn’t feel right. The road less traveled may be better.”
